  • Registration

    Registration will be open on May 9th

  • Age Groups and Classifications

    ClassificationAbbrev.Year of Birth
    Main Class MH/WH 1999 - 1980
    Seniors MAK/WAK 1979 and older
    Youth under 20 MJ/WJ 2000 and younger

    Separate rating for male and female participants. (Classification in accordance with LAO)

    If all of the members of an adult team are not in the same age group, that team will be ranked in the main class.

    There will not be an awards ceremony for the Seniors.

  • Results and Certificates

    The captains of each relay team will receive certificates for the whole team via mail (6-8 weeks after the event).

    Single starters will find their certificate as a download in the results list.

  • Getting There

    Dear participants, dear spectators, we do not provide parking at our events. Please use public transportation!

    Start/Finish Area: Former Airport Tempelhof

    Nearest Subway Station: U6, Station Paradestrasse or Tempelhof

    S41/42 + S45/46: Station Tempelhof


  • List of prohibited articles in the start / finish area

     The following items are prohibited for safety reasons in the start / finish area of ​​ the exhibition ground.

    • Weapons of any kind, including those items that are used as weapons, batons, shock and stabbing   weapons or missiles.

    • Gas spray cans, corrosive, flammable substances, dyestuffs or receptacles containing substances which are harmful to health or are highly flammable (exception: Standard pocket lighters).

    • Bottles, cups, jugs, cans or other items that are made of glass or other fragile material.

    • Bulky items such as ladders, stools, (folding) chairs, boxes

    • Fireworks, flares, smoke powder and -bombs or other pyrotechnics.

    • Flag or banner poles, which are longer than 1 m, or whose diameter is larger than 3 cm, and "double holders" (brought or approved flags and banners which have a "flame-retardant" material).

    • Mechanically operated sound-emitting devices such as Megaphones, klaxons.

    • Laser pointer.

    • Larger quantities of paper and paper rolls.

    • Cycles

    • Dogs

    There will be a Bambini Run on race day. 

    The registration can be done on site. The registration fee is 3 euros.

  • Late Registration

    Late Registration:

    As long as the limit of 1,800 relays is not reached, late registration is possible.

    How much: 

    Relay:             90,00 € (Marathon) / 75,00 € (Halbmarathon) / 60,00 € (Jugend)

    Single Runner: 10 km (Adult): 22,00 € / 5 km (Adult): 22,00 € / 5 or 10km (Youth): 16,00 €

  • Registration all relay participants

    All relevant documents will be send per mail to the team captain 1-2 weeks prior of the event. 

    This mail also includes:

    - the link to your booking confirmation: you must present this document in order to pick up your race materials, so you should probably print it out immediately! 

    - the login information to register the relay participants.

    Please note: 
On race day each participant is only allowed to compete in one relay and only on one stretch of that relay!

  • Start and Finish Times

    Start times:

    09:15 a.m: Bambini

    10:00 a.m: Marathon- / Halfmarathon- / Youth relays / single starts (5 and 10k)

    Finish closes:

    2:30 p.m.

  • Race Materials

    Race materials will be picked up by team (by one person which must not be the team captain)

    Your race materials contain:

      - A race number for each runner

    - a timekeeping chip for each participant (Relay)

    Please note: On race day each participant is only allowed to compete in one relay and only on one stretch of that relay!

  • Eligibility

    Bambinis: 0-10 years

    Relay: Women, Men, Youth, mixed relays (Mixed results are part of the main men category)

    (Walking and Nordic Walking are not permitted)

    One team name is obligatory (club, company, fantasy name).

    According to the German Athletics Association may participate following vintages in these competitions:
    10 km run - from U14 (13/12 years)
    5 km run - from U 12 (11/10 years)

  • Team Donation / Sustainability

    Airfield Run – Running with a good green conscience

    Together with the participants of the Airfield Run, SCC EVENTS is committed to nature conservation. Within different projects, more than 700 trees were planted in Berlin and Brandenburg since 2013. In order to be able to continue this environmental project in the future, we would be delighted to have your team support us in these endeavours. To do so, SCC EVENTS has made it possible to donate 1€, 2€, or €5 Euros per relay team when you register online for the upcoming event.

    Naturally, 100% of the funds collected will go directly to future climate and environmental projects, so you can not only have fun at your race, but do so with a good green conscience. From now on, the donations received will be used for the “Sielmann Naturlandschaft”.

  • Timekeeping / Chips / Relay

    Timekeeping / Chips:  Timekeeping only with black rental chip*

    Together with the race material, every participant per team receives a black ChampionChip for the timekeeping. They have to be returned in complete per team until 3 p.m. after the race. For every chip that won’t be returned your account or credit card will be debited with additional 25 Euros.

    If there are any changes made to the order of runners, the race number must be switched together with the respective chip

    Please secure the chip on top of your foot with the laces of your shoe (do not use metal to fasten), otherwise there will be no timekeeping!

  • Timing, Chips, Single Runners

    Time measurement is done exclusively with the ChampionChip!

    The ChampionChip is a small plastic transponder that has to be fastened on your running shoe (no metal contact!) and will measure your personal race time.

    Four different possibilities, your choice:

    1. Owner of a chip:

    Please provide your chip number (seven-figure combination of digits and letters) during the registration process.

    2. Chip purchase: you can purchase your chip during registration, it’s this easy:

    • Price: EUR 31,00
    • The amount will be billed together with your other fees
    • Your data will be saved in our system
    • The chip will be delivered via postal mail
    • You can use the chip for many different running events worldwide

    3. Chip rental:

    • You choose chip rental during registration
    • The one-time rental fee is EUR 4,00
    • Return the chip within two hours after the event

    4. Chip-rental with purchase option:

    • You choose chip rental during registration
    • The one-time rental fee is EUR 4,00
    • You do not return the chip but rather keep it after the event -> the purchase option is triggered!
    • EUR 25,00 (difference between the already payed rental fee and purchasde price) will automatically be billed to your provided method of payment.

    Chip return

    There is a locations within the finish area where you can return your chip until 3:00 p.m.
    Not returning the chip until 3:00 p.m. will trigger the purchase option (see #4)
